Help with May and June $5 Quilt Club Instructions (Pinwheels)


It's really easy to get a flat center in the middle of a pinwheel if you know the tricks!

First, always press the seams of your squares going in one direction.  In our blocks and this example, that means to always press toward the darker fabric.



After sewing all seams, snip one or two little stitches right in the center seam with your seam ripper.  This will allow you to press this seam in different directions, still pressing toward the dark.



After pressing, the center will look like a little pinwheel and lie flat!
