Quilting As You Go
Wed., July 23, 1-4p, $25
Instructor: Michelle Blevins
In this class, you are going to learn techniques more than anything, so use up some of your scraps!
You can use this technique to put together reversible quilts with ease. You
can even quilt individual squares before you put it together so that there's
no bulky quilting to do at the end! The technique is from the book, "More
Reversible Quilts," and focuses on how to sash the quilt squares together
after they are quilted.

Kids' Quilting Camp

Kids will get a great start in a hobby that will last a
lifetime during Kids' Quilting Camp! Leigh will show kids how to cut, piece
and quilt during camp. Camp price includes up to $50 worth of materials and
lunch daily. More advanced students may choose their quilt project, while
beginners will make a simple quilted wall hanging.

Learn how to cut with a rotary cutter and ruler, how to seam a true 1/4"
seam, measure and cut borders, how to layer your layers, how to quilt, and
even how to bind! Janet will tell you all the hints, tips and tricks, and show
you lots of gadgets to help you along. You'll make the "Turning Twenty
Again" quilt in class.

This Irish Chain and star combination quilt is simply
beautiful! You'll love how the fabrics blend together to form a double chain.

Ricky Tims Convergence Wall Hanging

Make a “Convergence” quilt using Ricky Tims' techniques. By weaving
fabrics together, you will experiment with strip piecing and color in this
class. A convergence quilt features two or more fabric designs that are cut
into strips and then merged together. Convergence quilts are also “mystery
quilts,” so part of the fun will happen when they go back together!

Learn how easy it is to make beautiful stars using paper
piecing methods! Believe it or not, your stars will always come out with
perfect points! We'll use Carol Doak's "Mariner's Compass Stars"
book, and you'll get to make several stars while in class. This is a perfect
class for those who have been afraid to try paper piecing.

Piping Hot Bindings

Binding with piping adds flair to a quilt by adding a special touch that shows
attention to detail all the way through to the edge of the quilt. Piping also

$5 Quilt Club
Second Saturday, starting November 10 for 12 months, 10am sharp!
Our ever-popular $5 Quilt Club continues! Every year, we have lots of fun during club. We'll spend about 45 minutes showing all the new things in the shop, then talk briefly about the block for that month. The first block will cost $5, and after that, if you come to the next
club with your quilt block completed, your block fabric and instructions will be free. If you follow all the rules, all 12 of your block kits for the entire year will only be $5!
